Q: How is The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes funded?

We receive funding from various sources, including individuals such as yourself, businesses, civic organizations, and churches. Additionally, we organize fundraising events throughout the year and secure grants when they become accessible. Our primary contributors are ordinary individuals who simply aspire to make a positive impact in their communities.

Q: Why give to The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes?

We understand that you have numerous options when it comes to supporting charities and nonprofits. Food is a basic need for everyone; regardless of age.  By donating to The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes, your dollars are directed to purchasing ingredients so we can keep feeding families that need our help.

    Q: Who can volunteer?

We currently request volunteers to be 10 years old or older. On occasion, younger children are allowed to participate in packing events (please inquire for more details).

Q: Is there a fee to volunteer?

Donating your time does not incur a specific cost. However, we encourage groups to contribute towards the expenses associated with the ingredients used during the packing sessions. Typically, businesses, churches, and civic organizations can pool funds to help alleviate these costs. We work with each group independently to determine an equitable arrangement for covering the expenses associated with the food supplies.
