Our initiative goes beyond feeding the hungry; it brings communities together to solve local problems with local solutions. Take action, have a Hunger Dialogue or an Outreach Program Meal Packaging Event in your community!
A Hunger Dialogue is a platform for communication and collaboration between nonprofits, religious groups, civic organizations, governmental agencies, and individuals in the Hunger Space. The structure of the dialogue depends on the county’s needs and resources.
The Outreach Program Meal Packaging Events bring people, organizations, and businesses together to package meals and promote the county Hunger Space. Hundreds of thousands of volunteers come away educated, engaged, and empowered.
The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes packages highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving children and malnourished children and their families in developing countries and the United States. The goal of the organization is for its meals to provide a stable nutritional base from which recipient families can move their families from starvation to self-sufficiency.
